Allied Health Assistant

About The Role
As an Allied Health Assistant Full-time, you’ll be a valued member of our growing restorative care team, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists and dietitians to facilitate high-quality care to people in the community. This will include client home visits and group activities across a range of settings.
You will support delivering person-centred care in an environment that promotes continuous quality improvement, consistent with the values and Mission of HammondCare.

Key Focus Areas:

Client-centred support: Deliver delegated in-home allied health programs and interventions that promote independence, function and wellbeing, under the supervision of allied health professionals.

Collaboration and communication: Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, maintaining clear documentation and reporting on client progress and needs.

Equipment management and environment: Ensure therapy equipment is maintained, cleaned, transported and stored safely, and contribute to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

Service excellence: Represent HammondCare’s Mission and values in all interactions, contributing to a positive client experience and the delivery of high-quality allied health services.


The current role is Permanent Full-time and successful applicant will need to travel to south east sydney region to see clients face to face , office is based in Miranda.



About you

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and data entry.
  
• You have a basic understanding of medical terminology.
  
• Desirable but not essential, Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance.
  
• You’re a strong communicator, and able to plan and manage your time effectively.
  
• Access to a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license and safe driving record to travel between HammondCare locations (travel costs reimbursed).
